The Austrian Alps offers so many options for meeting venues from state of the art Congress centres to luxury hotels and spas, as well as purpose-built event locations. For something completely different, meetings are also possible in igloos (thermal coats and a lot of hot mulled wine provided!).
So distilling the top locations down to just 5 is never simple, but each of the following meeting venues offers something quite different - the one thing in common is of course the ability for delegates to disconnect from their everyday routines (as well as being able to be on the slopes in under 5 minutes!).
So take your next meeting to new heights with these inspiring venues!
1 | Freiraum, Mayrhofen
At 2000 metres above sea level, this architecturally innovative space offers incredible panoramic views across the Zillertal Alps. For 20 up to 120 delegates, the Freiraum can offer a unique meeting environment where delegates can simply walk out the door and onto the slopes. As an evening event location the Freiraum is equally spectacular, and for a truly VIP evening a private gondola (with bar) can be organised to whisk guests up to the peak.
2 | Hotel Der Adler, Innsbruck
Only a month since its official opening, the Hotel Der Adler in Innsbruck is already making its mark both for the spectacular views from every single guest room, but also from the meeting space. For small meetings for around 20 delegates, the 2 different conference rooms are modern and well appointed, with vistas across the beautiful city of Innsbruck and the mountains.
3 | Schwarzer Adler, Kitzbühel
It's almost unkind to have a meeting with views this good in the Rooftop Boardroom. But, it will certainly fast track the agenda along, so delegates can get out on the mountains! Clients last winter used this room as a tech hub for a remote office - and simply loved this space with its views across the village of Kitzbühel and onto the mountains.
4 | Arlberg-well.com, St Anton
From a small boardroom to an auditorium to seat 2000 delegates, the Arlberg-well.com located in St Anton am Arlberg is also a unique location for a meeting or conference. Built for the 2001 World Alpine Ski Championships, the venue is at the finish line of the world cup race course. The architecture is strikingly modern with a strong nod to eco-design with its grass roof. Bang in the middle of St Anton, in winter an outdoor skating rink sits at the entrance, and a large wellness centre is connected to the venue.
5 | Seevilla Freiberg, Zell am See
There can be nothing more tranquil and serene then gazing at a frozen lake, and the conference room at the Seevilla Freiberg takes full advantage of the hotels fantastic location right on the lakes edge. Ideal for a meeting of up to 25 guests, this lovely hotel in Zell am See is a firm favourite.
