With the lifts now running on the local Stubai Glacier we thought we would share a commute that takes some beating. Rising up from the base-station at 1750m the Gamsgarten gondola reaches a plateau beneath the main glaciers. The route beneath the gondolas offers some great off-piste routes (guides required) whilst the Gamsgarten gondola section 2 continues its ascent toward the glacier skiing.
