The event has been running for several years now and each December the base-station in Lech is transformed into a performing arts show with costumed actors and amazing light shows transforming the buildings. To get to the main event at the Rüfikopf, the twin cable cars are transformed into a moving movie theatre and an air-borne disco with DJ. The ride up takes some 8 minutes and the short films are watched from small stools on the cable car floor. The DJ cable car features a disco ball and mixing decks.
At the Rüfikopf top-stationthere is an outdoor dance floor and some fantastic light shows beamed out into the valley and onto the snow-laden peaks behind the Rüfikopf. There is also a large auditorium showing a series of short films and naturally a bar. For those looking events that offer something a bit quirky and certainly different then the Cineastic Gondolas is a must-see event.
