The annual Alpine Ballooning week, which took place this year from 23.01.16 to 30.01.2016 in Tirol.
Arriving early it was fascinating watching the balloon pilots (not sure of the technical name!) unload and blow up their giants balloons and gracefully take to skies to admire the stunning landscape from high above. It was wonderful to see hoards of brightly coloured balloons drifting over the jagged tops of the Kaiserbirge mountain range. Unfortunately I didn't have enough change in my pocket to participate in the view from above, but for 200 Euros you can secure your place in a basket. Now that would be an unforgettable place to hold a meeting!
