As part of the season opening winter festival, Lech am Arlberg will be hosting the annual Fantastic Gondolas festival in the resort and mountains above Lech. Billed as a multi-media festival, the event features animations, stunning light projections and DJ sets. Most of the activity takes places around Rüfikopf cable car station, high above Lech but the resort itself is ablaze with light projections.
Access to the Rüfikopf is by a disco gondola, sailing high over the mountainside, the gondolas pump out the DJ mixes, under spinning disco balls. At the peak cable car station there are live performances and DJ sets, all with the remarkable projections across the snowy peaks as a back drop.
After a day of skiing, the Fantastic Gondolas festival is the ideal event to accompany a corporate ski trip, in the stunning surroundings of Lech am Arlberg. Quality runs throughout the resort and the early season snow can be sensational - a welcome distraction from dreary December days in the city!
