Huts on the northern edge of Innsbruck have been shovelling access paths through some immense snow banks that arrived over the winter and didn't disappear over the spring. In areas on the northern edge of Innsbruck, at around ca. 2300m there are still banks of snow around 7-10m deep - absolutely incredible. And only last week there was a dump of 50cm on the Stubai Glacier on the border between Austria and Italy, offering sensational powder skiing on deserted slopes. It's never too late to get powder for sure those with an insatiable urge, whilst the Alps summer should give way to September snowfalls. Get on the snow!
