The 3 Valleys skiing

Located at the eastern limit of the vast Les 3 Vallées ski region, skiers in Courchevel have vast distances to ski into from their valley. Méribel, Val Thorens and everywhere in between – this is the world’s biggest ski region.

Ski in, ski out 1850 luxury

With ski pistes dissecting Courchevel 1850, there are many ski-in, ski-out hotel and chalet options for corporate ski trips. High-altitude, slop-side accommodation with immediate access to the biggest ski region in the world – Courchevel 1850 is super-convenient.

Courchevel skiing

Courchevel 1850 is mainly ski in, ski out with 5 ski lifts leaving the centre of the resort and 3 main ski piste arteries cutting through the resort, back to the centre on gentle scenic routes. In all directions, there is skiing but most leave Courchevel and head either south or east, accessing the superb Saulire or Loze areas.

This is where the terrain gets steeper and access to the other Les 3 Vallées ski areas is possible. The best steep skiing in Courchevel can be found at Saulire, whilst the less adventurous can bypass this on a great, long blue – Creux. This is also the location to access Courchevel Moriond. The Courchevel ski area is varied, extensive and one of the very best in France.

Courchevel is the eastern part of the massive Les 3 Vallées ski region – the biggest linked ski region in the world. Unlike many other linked ski regions, Les 3 Vallées is superbly connected offering a logical link between these 3 diverse valleys, with wonderful terrain, incredible vistas and stunning villages.

Méribel in the centre has extensive off-piste to the south of the resort, whereas Val Thorens in the western extremity of Les 3 Vallées offers superb, snow-sure, ski-in / ski-out, high-altitude glacier skiing. The route from Courchevel Moriond to Val Thorens and back is easily possible in a day and is a fantastic experience. Les Menuires, St Martin de Belleville and La Tania ski areas make up the remaining parts of Les 3 Vallées skiing.

The resort has some wonderful slope-side terraces serving fine food and drinks and the settings are spectacular. It is hard not to feel privileged lounging on sheepskin rugs and having table service, next to the piste in Courchevel.

Courchevel Moriond has further après ski options with slope-side bars and options in the resort centre.

Méribel just over the ridge in the next valley offers great après ski, with several après ski venues in the resort. La Folie Douce Méribel-Courchevel is located between the resorts (on the Méribel side), offering superb theatre on the outdoor stage, amazing sounds and an early warning system for skiers to head back to Courchevel.
