Obergurgl resorts

The destination of Obergurgl is made up of the resorts of Obergurgl and Hochgurgl, located at 1930m and 2150m respectively at the southern end of the Ötztal valley. South of Obergurgl are peaks, glaciers & the Italian border.

Obergurgl has a compact centre with several large hotels sited around the resort's hub, where the shops, bars, restaurants, conference centre, and ski lifts are located. Obergurgl is as convenient as ski resorts get.

The cluster of central hotels offers multiple ski-in / ski-out and slope-side options with slopes running the length of the resort and ski lifts leaving just steps from the village centre.

Obergurgl is pure winter wonderland, - at nearly 2km above sea level, the surroundings are rugged and snowbound for much of the year. The village is also calm and traffic-free with the road extending no further south.

A state-of-the-art conference centre is now located in the heart of the village – the Gurgl Carat is a stunning contemporary structure and is the highest conference centre in the Alps – the media screen is truly something else.

Hochgurgl is an alternative option, offering the chance to host corporate ski trips in an entirely ski in, ski out satellite village, the second highest resort in the Alps at 2150m.

Obergurgl apres ski

With some of the heavyweights of global après ski in the region, Obergurgl somewhat flies under the radar for après ski. However, Obergurgl offers some quality après ski – a key ingredient for any corporate ski trip and a sure way to write new chapters of company folklore.

The highlight of après ski in Obergurgl must surely be a session at the Nederhütte – a rustic hut on the lower slopes of the ski area with live music and very attentive bar staff.

Sölden offers further options for meeting & seminar venues, both on the mountain and in the resort. One of the most striking meeting venues is located on the peak of the Gaislachkogel, at the IceQ complex, as featured in the 007 film Spectre.
